Hello,

I'd like to diskuss possible approaches for user account
administration in open mapi. These are the options, I see:

1. dedicated mapi methods for creation, deletion and modification of accounts

2. accounts are stored in a public contact folder with aproriate
access restrictions

3. a combination of both: accounts are stored in a public folder and
can be administered with special mapi methods

Authentication is independent of the approach for storing and
administering accounts. I.e. accounts could be stored in the above
mentioned public folder and kerberos could be employed for
authentication.

2 is my personal favourite, as this would allow simple administration
of accounts by means of the mapi shell and it would make implemention
of admin clients really simple.

What is your opinion?
Are there further ideas or approaches?
